Jose Medina, a member of St. Joseph’s Arts & Environment Committee and the artist who created our parish’s beautiful 2018 Easter banners, will display his work for sale during an Art Show to be held Nov. 15-17 in the school.
On October 21st, volunteers from St. Liborius Teen Youth Group met with the 8th graders of St. Joseph for their confirmation retreat located in the gym of St. Joseph School.
Saturday, October 13th, 2018 The Public Square Rosary Rally is a nationwide annual event promoted by America Need Fatima to honor Our Lady of Fatima, to encourage prayer and penance, and to pray for spiritual renewal in the United states.
The awards were presented on Sunday, October 7th Holy Name Cathedral, and this year’s honorees from St. Joseph were Paul & Chris Lynch. We congratulate Paul & Chris Lynch and thank them for their generous service to our parish.
The Blessing of Pets was on Sunday, October 7th, in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, known for his love of animals. Rev. Robert Kyfes blessed parishioners’ pets outside of the church.
Members of the Marian Council Knights of Columbus, with members at St. Anne Parish in Hazel Crest, St. Joseph Parish in Homewood and Infant Jesus of Prague Parish in Flossmoor were out collecting for children with special needs with their annual Tootsie Roll Drive Friday and Saturday, Sept. 21 and 22.
