Tomatoes, collard greens, bell peppers, beets, turnips, eggplants, and cabbages are just some of the vegetables we harvested at Zeldenrust Farm Market on Monday, October 9th. We were blessed with gorgeous weather and got to bask in abundance that one can only experience on a farm. Thanks to the hard work of ten children and seven parents, we filled 83 bags of produce, loaded them into three cars and delivered them to the food pantry at St. Iranaeus to the delight of Sr. Judine Hilbing who was in the middle of distributing food to some of the 900 families who rely on the pantry.
A very special thank you to our hardworking children and parents!
A very special thank you to Ruth Zeldenrust for hosting us at her farm and to Christopher Torres and Carol Peterson from Catholic Charities who organized this service activity for St. Joseph and supplied most of the photographs.
