2019 FISH FRY IS ANOTHER SUCCESS

To the hundreds of people who supported the annual St. Joe Fish Fry the past six weeks, we say “thank you!”

And it was an honor to have Cardinal Cupich come out to the South Suburbs to enjoy a meal with us on Friday, April 5.

“The meal was delicious,” the Cardinal said afterward. He chose St. Joseph because he hadn’t been here in some time, “and I was told the food was good!”

The annual fish fry supports the St. Joseph Athletic Association. The fish fry is under the direction of Lisa Purcell who starts planning the event months in advance.

She gets special assistance from Athletic Association board members Becki Calomino, Phil and Ginny Donahue, Maura Flannigan, Lauren Humes, Allisa Opyd, Jenn Frangella and John Blagsen. 

Regular weekly workers are Chris and Paul Lynch, Bob Major, Chris Cummings, Ted Ostrowski, Nancy Werner, Rita Davenport, Christine Lux, Tina Mulholland, Donnie Cortez and Penny Milenkoff, with additional help from all of the families in the Athletic Association.
