The Respect Life Ministry resumed our parish “Swaddle” collection of disposable diapers. The need for disposable diapers is huge.
What is SWADDLE again? SWADDLE, the Southwest Area Diaper Depository for Little Ends, is a diaper bank agency which facilitates the dispensing of collected diapers to needy families in Chicago’s Southland through approved local social service agencies. Parishioners donate the diapers and our Respect Life Ministry delivers the diapers to approved agencies such as Respond Now, Southside Pregnancy Center in Evergreen Park, The Women’s Center, The Courage Program at St. Germaine in Oak Lawn, and PASS in Tinley Park. In June 2017,the Respect Life Ministry initiated our on-going collection of Disposable Diapers. As before, we have a crib in the Northwest corner of St. Joseph Church, and it will again be the collection site for your donated disposable diapers. However often you can afford to buy a package of disposable diapers, please bring it with you to Church and put it in the Crib. The Respect Life Ministry will do the rest.
