St. Joseph brings its ‘Bingo!’ spirit to Homewood’s Block Party
Dozens of people took a break from the music, food, and kids games to relax and play a game or two or three of Bingo at the St. Joseph Parish tent at Homewood’s Block Party. Bingo was anything but dull when caller Jim Bertucci broke from tradition with several winning games that formed the letters J, T and Y. The letter T game was the trickiest because it worked from four directions!
During four hours in the afternoon on Saturday, Aug. 19, volunteers under the direction of Alicia Florence manned the tent.
Revenues from the Bingo tent benefitted the parish.
It’s estimated 3,500 people came out to the annual Block Party event.
